The International University of Development (UID) offers world-class education from Paraguay. As the only Recognised Teaching Centre of the University of London in the country, it brings global academic standards to students seeking an education with a genuine international outlook.
Building on a legacy of more than 20 years spearheaded by the Instituto Desarrollo, the UID is shaping a new generation of leaders equipped to transform Paraguay and play an active role in addressing the challenges of the global environment.

Institutional development
Establishment of the Development Institute as an academic body dedicated to advanced training and the generation of applied knowledge for development.
Upgraded to a Higher Education Institute under Law No. 2872/2006, marking the start of its formal higher education provision.
Launch of international master’s programmes in partnership with universities in Argentina and Chile.
Joining the Think Tank Initiative, thereby strengthening its regional standing in research.
Approval by CONES for the introduction of undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes.
Launch of undergraduate programmes in Economics, Sustainable Development and Business Management, as well as postgraduate programmes in Economics and Development.
ANEAES accreditation of academic programmes in Economics.
Legal authorisation to offer PhD programmes and vocational training.
Establishment of the International University of Development (UID) by Act No. 7566/2025.
Accreditation as a Recognised Teaching Centre of the University of London in Paraguay.
